The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with general accounting duties. The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily financial activities and supporting the accounting department with various tasks.

The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily financial activities and supporting the accounting department with various tasks.
- Post financial transactions using appropriate computer software.
- Receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks.
- Enter debits and credits into software applications and databases accurately.
- Check for accuracy in reports, figures and postings.
- Reconcile and report any discrepancies found in records.
- Process check requests on a regular basis.
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices, including scanning and electronic filing.
- Perform monthly reconciliations.
- Maintain various vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Office experience preferred.
- An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Data Entry: Ability to accurately input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Accounting Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software or similar platforms is a plus. Willingness to learn new software as required.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry, creating spreadsheets, and using formulas. Basic knowledge of Word and Outlook is also helpful.
- Mathematical Ability: Strong math skills for handling numbers accurately and solving financial problems.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and discrepancies in financial documents.
- Organization: Ability to maintain well-organized records and documents, ensuring that files are easily accessible and updated regularly.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while handling multiple accounting duties.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, vendors, and customers as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and come up with practical solutions in accounting processes.
