As technology advances, information systems and technology are essential to our organization’s success. The Systems Administrator Manager ensures all systems have secure connections and perform smoothly to serve the needs of Family Tree Relief Nursery. As our technical expert, you will perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs, including software and computer installations and upgrades, security maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and technical support for all users and projects of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
40% Data/Technology/Operations
- Build internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Maintain, update and manage FTRN and FTRN Board Intranets
- Develop expertise to train staff in innovative technologies.
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights.
- Ensure security working with our managed service vendor.
- Interact with our managed service team to assist in troubleshooting, identify root causes, and provide technical support when needed.
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Manage all office equipment and maintenance while working with the Front Office Manager
- Manage Gemini Security System
- Managing our landlines, desk phones, cellular account, and purchases needed for Family Tree employees.
- Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running.
- Oversee performed routines and audits of our current systems.
- Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
- Purchase new and replacement equipment as needed following the organizational budget.
- Set up accounts and workstations.
30% Media/Development
- Create, update, and monitor webpages and database records for programs they support.
- Evaluate potential problems and propose solutions.
- Execute against current programs and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
- Expand the digital platform to include the development of video components to support recruitment and marketing efforts for services and brand advancement.
- Graphic Design, able to create visual solutions using composition, typography, color, images, and aesthetics; advanced skill in using technology to create materials; can help others create by translating an idea or concept into design.
- Manage Family Tree Website and donor communication systems.
- Manage program-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored.
- Other administrative tasks as required.
- Overseeing the pre-production, production, and post-production processes
- Participate in program/initiative planning meetings.
- Plan and manage goals and tasks, program schedules, and added information.
- Quality control of all recordings used for media purposes for Family Tree Relief Nursery
- Support and coordinate administrative tasks associated with invites, event correspondence, logistics, event set - up and event tear down.
- Support tracking and summary of success metrics for programs and initiatives
- Work with the Development Director and assist where needed on FTRN social media.
- Work with Executive Director to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make recommendations concerning programs for Family Tree Relief Nursery’s Podcast
20% Program Resource
- Lead training programs for new staff with guidance from Program Managers
- Work alongside the assigned Security Officer (Director) being FTRN’s HIPAA Officer
- Work alongside the Facility Emergency Response Coordinator to ensure all safety communications and needs are being met.
- Work with Program Managers for overall program resource needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, customer service, office administration, or related experience.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and change.
- Ability to quickly and effectively problem-solve and troubleshoot independently.
- Ability to work with a wide range of constituents in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
- Diligence, excellent follow-through.
- Detailed and accurate data entry skills
- Documentation management and ability to use program management tools (Tasks, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with and ability to set up typical A/V equipment, such as a laptop computer, LCD projector, sound system, cameras, and online webinar platforms such as Zoom.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Leadership skills
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong competence with MS Office and Google suite of apps
- Strong time management skills and proven track record of removing obstacles to achieving deadlines and ideal outcomes.
- Willingness to work independently in the direction of others, and in a team-focused environment.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, reach, manipulate, carry, and key/type. Requires occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
