Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at Family Workshop Counseling Center! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
Duties
- Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- Prepare tax documentation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping.
- Process debits and credits accurately while maintaining a clear record of all transactions.
- Meet with owner once per week in person (~1 hour) to review work.
Qualifications
- Terrific communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude are a MUST. :)
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with account analysis, budgeting, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero or Sage is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 5 per week
