POSITION SUMMARY :
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Camp Counselors at Camp Lakeside create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while completing the daily operations of supervising and interacting with campers while camp is in session. Camp Counselors for Camp Lakeside perform duties according to all state, federal, and YMCA policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining supervision, safety, and care for campers during the day (1 : 15 campers).
- Supervise campers at all times.
- Guide and teach a range of outdoor activities (low ropes, swimming, archery, zip lining, kayaking, group
games, rock wall climbing, pamper pole,paddleboarding, etc.).
