The District Credit Manager is responsible for releasing tickets for accounts over their credit limit, processing credit applications, making collection calls, and traveling to customers to resolve past-due balances.
Responsibilities
- Process credit applications and approve lines of credit
- Foster strong business partnerships with key departments in the organization which includes Accounting, Operations, and Sales
- Ensure timely collection of payments from customers
- Resolve customer disputes
- Generate write-offs on accounts deemed uncollectible
- Approve account adjustments within established guidelines
- Review delinquency reports
- Correspond with attorneys on accounts placed for collection
- Customer visitation to resolve issues and foster new sales opportunities
- Travel to regional branches required with rare overnight stays
- 3-5 years experience in collections and credit
- Sales and operations experience a plus
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
