The Senior Manager of Fan Experience will deliver a compelling live event experience at Hearts of Pine home games, while also assisting with other community events year-round.

This position will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help launch Maine’s first-ever professional soccer club and to provide memorable experiences for fans of all ages. 

Expected Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000, plus bonus potential
Relocation assistance: Negotiable

Responsibilities:
  • Build the club’s overall game presentation, including PA announcements, fan entertainment, community partners, special guests, and other elements
  • Oversee the leadership of part-time gameday staff to ensure successful delivery of a quality fan experience at all home games and club events
  • Write game PA Scripts and other run-of-show items, and oversee receiving the proper elements from all departments
  • Work with internal and external partners to develop unique collaborations and theme nights
  • Seek ways to elevate fan experience through technology innovations
  • Coordinate gameday partners and contractors, including staffing and security personnel, food/beverage and other operational support, PA announcers, mascot entertainers, and everyone else necessary to pull off a successful gameday
  • Maintain department project and inventory lists
  • Create and oversee mechanisms for fan feedback
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve club goals
  • Help to ensure that the club stays within budget on each game day
  • Collaboratively support community initiatives and player appearances 
  • Provide input into brand vision for game presentation elements (e.g. music, programming, talent, signage) and ensure all consumer facing marketing and brand elements are presented appropriately
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to ensure that the club is meeting partnership obligations, while also identifying ways to create win-win initiatives for the club and its partners 
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure all fan experience elements properly reflect the brand and are consistent with marketing and sales objectives
  • Work with all other departments to ensure cross-platform execution
  • Work nights/weekends as necessary, especially on the dates of the club’s 18 home games
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Experience & Knowledge
  • Ability to lead within a fast-paced environment and deliver on multiple projects in parallel, while meeting deadlines and staying within budget
  • Experience coordinating third-party contractors and part-time staff, ideally in a live sports or entertainment environment
  • Ability to organize and oversee multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Independent, self-motivated and creative
  • Experience with marketing in a live sports/entertainment context, with a passion for soccer preferred

Experience:
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience 
  • At least 2 years of experience within sports, entertainment, and/or startup environments
