What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sourcing Manager position at Fanatics Retail Group Fulfillment, LLC?
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the successful execution of the seasonal source plan to achieve on-time delivery and industry leading quality product. The primary responsibilities include seasonal allocation, maintaining a source matrix document and costing tracker for margin reporting, cost negotiations in coordination with the Bangkok and Honduras PCC’s ( Product Creation Centers ), management of costing and proto review meetings with cross functional teammates as well as Suppliers, and tracking to key calendar milestones and ensuring adherence to dates. This person must be able to work independently, proactively and collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a seasonal source plan in alignment with the company’s Strategic Supply Base and growth plans.
- Manage seasonal allocation and forecasts by Supplier.
- Maintain Source Base matrix and costing tracker.
- Work cross functionally with Merchandising, Design Product Creation, Product Development and Planning Teams.
- Manage all aspects of the costing process, cost structures, and communication with the PCC’s and Merchandising, inclusive of meetings virtually and in person / in country with Suppliers.
- Work cross functionally with Sourcing Operations on the reporting of the Supply Base key performance metrics and market conditions.
- Understand and work collaboratively with the Sustainability Team on Supply Base compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Cross functional alignment with Product Integrity on Suppliers QA reports and metrics.
- Oversee all critical inputs are on time and prepared for key milestone meetings
- Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
- Support Sr. Sourcing Manager and Sourcing leadership team in required reporting and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 2-4 years relevant experience in sourcing, development, quality and production
- Strong computer skills with intermediate level in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and necessary systems needed
- Knowledge of garment construction
- Working experience with global trade in textiles and apparel sourcing processes
- Experience working with vendors in Asia and South/Central America
- Knowledge of industry standard quality processes/procedures and compliance regulations.
- Ability to introduce and implement new processes and procedures
- Ability to communicate across multiple cultural and experience levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Travel required
