JOB SUMMARY
The VP Finance - FP&A will be responsible for challenging and supporting the business, increasing the company’s ability to anticipate business issues, and driving informed decision-making through sound financial management. The successful candidate must have the ability to function in a matrixed environment at a broad-based, strategic level while being capable of driving detailed, tactical execution.
Reporting to Commerce CFO , the VP of FP&A will serve as a critical member of the finance leadership team. They will be directly involved in the company’s consolidated forecast process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as well as contribute to our long-range planning process. The role will have significant exposure to the Commerce and FHI executive management team and be involved in strategic decisions.

General Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve upon our long-range planning framework, providing leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of financial short-and-long-term strategic objectives.
- Act as a strategic thought leader, serve as the right-hand thought partner to the CFO and SVP, Accounting.
- Lead the development and implementation of a new global finance operating model that will deliver significant short and long-term improvements across finance’s processes, systems, and tools.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and tracking of our shorter-term budget. Establish timelines, provide support to the leadership team and operational leaders, and hold business leadership accountable for delivery against targets and business objectives. Investigate and resolve variances in budgets, reporting, controls, and accounting.
- Lead the process to accurately forecast results and ensure that all stakeholders have the appropriate tools to forecast results both internally and externally. Stir innovation and improvement of the financial planning and analysis processes and rigor to provide even higher value-added decision-making support to leadership.
- Be vigilant on creating lean processes where we value financial automation as well as strong collaboration and communication.
- The ideal candidate should have at least 12 years of finance experience with increasing responsibility in core areas such as FP&A, Accounting, Equity Research and/or Commercial Finance. Finance, Accounting or Economics undergraduate degree required. MBA, CPA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
- Strong experience in a broad range of functional disciplines including Marketing, R&D, Compensation and workforce planning, Accounting, Supply Chain, Sourcing / Procurement, Demand management and Strategy would be seen as a distinct advantage.
- Must be seen as a strong businessperson who knows how to partner with senior executives and guide change.
- Deep level of comfort and familiarity around the industries Fanatics is involved in
- Experience working with fast-paced, complex, entrepreneurial organizations
- High degree of business maturity and ability to communicate effectively at senior management levels
- Exemplary skill in peer influencing, indirect leadership, and cross-group collabora9on skills
