Summary: Responsible for the Cage activities of the department by monitoring, performing, training, supervising the Cashiers.

Essential Job Functions:
· Conducts initial orientation session with all new cage cashiers, reviewing all company and departmental policies and procedures.
· Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix
· Maintains the cage “main bank” and closely supervises all cash flow and accompanying transactions into and out of the cages, i.e., checks cashed and redeeming tickets.
· Make fills of additional coin and currency to individual cashier cash drawers from the main bank, as necessary, ensuring each such transaction is accurately documented.
· Buys excess items from individual cashier cash drawers such as currency, ensuring each transaction is accurately documented.
· Sends orders from the cage to the vault at the start of each shift to replenish currency used by the previous shift.
· Handles all safekeeping transactions.
· Handles all flow of coin, currency, and travelers checks from the cage and vault to restaurants, slots and other departments and vice-versa, ensuring the department which received the order recounts each item received and verifies the order was filled.
· Ensures right security is maintained in the cages, with all unattended cash drawers and cabinets locked and no unauthorized personnel admitted into the cages at any time.
· Directs and supervises the overall casino cage operation and personnel during an assigned shift, ensuring all activities and distinguishing job duties are performed according to the established company and departmental policies, procedures and goals.
· Prepares weekly team member schedules, ensures adequate staffing during peak volume periods and less staffing during low utilization periods.
· Conducts frequent team member meetings with the cage shift manager to review and discuss various policies and procedures, address problems and concerns.
· Resolves any disputes that cage team members are not able to resolve or refer the problem to the cage shift manager if still unable to resolve.
· Monitors key control system.
· Performs cage cashier distinguishing job duties when necessary.
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a cashier preferred.
· Prior supervisory experience
· Strong knowledge of all essential cage and credit functions.
· 10-Key and computer data entry skills.
· High volume money handling skills.
· Ability to positively interact with team members and guests.
· Ability to communicate with Team members and guests
· Ability to be a TEAM player
· Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
· Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
· Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
Physical and Mental Demands:
· Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
· Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds.
· Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel.
· Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.
· Exposure to smoke filled environment and high noise level.
