Summary: Manages the accounting and financial functions. Manages the administration of the casino’s accounting principles, practices and procedures for the maintenance of fiscal records and the preparation of financial reports.
Essential Job Functions:
· Assists in the implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll.
· Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
· Manages the installation and maintenance of accounting records.
· Manages the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
· Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
· Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
· Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
· Reviews of financial statements with management personnel.
· Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, time keeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
· Directs all casino cage activities ensuring proper accounting of assets and efficient daily operations.
· Ensures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming Commission regulations.
· Hire, train and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.
· Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting
· Five or more years accounting related experience. Gaming Experience preferred.
· Knowledge of accounting software, payroll systems, spreadsheet and word processing software
· Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
