Overview
The Commercial Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various commercial spaces such as offices, schools, and restaurant locations. The role involves performing a range of cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash, and restocking supplies. The position requires adherence to safety and cleaning protocols, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and ensure proper sanitation of assigned areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Clean and restock restrooms with necessary supplies.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow all safety protocols and cleaning guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure the cleanliness of all areas.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned by management to meet specific business needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies is preferred.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 15 pounds.
• Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Reliable transportation

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is an advantage but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Capacity to handle cleaning equipment and supplies, including lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals in a controlled environment.
