Far Niente Wine Estates seeks a harvest intern for Bella Union to assist with the production of high-quality wines from Napa Valley.
This position will start in August and will run through mid-November (depending on the season).
You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:
- Cellar cleaning and sanitation
- Grape processing/sorting
- Cap Management
- Helping with additions to juice or wine
- Assorted cellar work, barrel work, wine and juice movements, bottling.
- Operate pumps and harvest equipment
You will be qualified for this role if you meet these requirements:
- Winery experience preferred but not required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work long hours, nights, and weekends during harvest and bottling
Some physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Walk, kneel, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time
