Cellar Worker Level 1 at Bella Union Winery
Founded in Oakville, California in 1885 and restored in 1979, Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. We are preparing to open our third estate, Bella Union in mid-2024. Join our accomplished wine making team as a member of the production team as a Cellar Worker.
The Cellar Worker performs cellar operations under the direction of the Cellar Master and Assistant Winemaker.
You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:
- Under supervision, performs and completes cellar operations including barrel work and sanitation of winery equipment.
- Assist with winery operations including crushing, topping, racking, pressing, and bottling.
- Operate winery machinery as needed after appropriate safety instruction including but not limited to pumps, steamer, CO2 dispenser and ozone generator.
- Maintain and improve winery cleanliness.
- Promote safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will be qualified for this role if you met these requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. (i.e. entry level)
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly functioning team.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the predominately used language.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, ascend, and descend stairs.
