We are seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant with a minimum of 2 years in a legal environment to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of litigation processes, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting our attorneys in achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files, drafting pleadings, and preparing discovery documents.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management systems, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel regarding case updates and scheduling.
- File documents with courts and maintain compliance with all local and federal regulations.
- Prepare and organize trial exhibits and materials.
- Assist in gathering, reviewing, and summarizing evidence and documents.
- Provide general administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining files.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation assistant or in a similar legal role.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and litigation processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
