Fleet Equipment Repair Specialist

Job Description

Fleet Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide range of fleet equipment, including vehicles and campus machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Repair and troubleshoot complex engine and transmission issues, including replacement of major components.
• Utilize OEM software to diagnose and repair fleet vehicles efficiently.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet factory specifications.
• Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper function.
• Prioritize and manage vehicle repair work orders effectively.
• Document and file accurate repair records.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure seamless operations.
• Assist the snow removal team during winter months.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain Class A CDL.
• Thermo King/Carrier repair experience preferred.
• Diesel and heavy equipment/trailer mechanic skills essential.
• Basic computer skills (diagnostic and administrative) necessary.
