What are the responsibilities and job description for the MTSS Tutor - Title Funded position at Fargo Public Schools?
- Provide instructional support and monitor students, individually or in small groups, with an assigned intervention from a certified staff member. The purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching academic or behavioral goals and grade level standards.
- Maintains classroom supplies and materials, work area, and manual and electronic files and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of items, providing written reference, providing a safe and sanitary learning environment, and/or meeting mandated requirements.
- Observes, monitors and records student performance and behavior; assists in assessing a student's learning needs based on their performance in individual or group tutoring sessions; implementing plans for instruction; making recommendations for improved care and instruction.
- Assists in managing and improving appropriate behavior of students, may include crisis intervention, to support, implement, and reinforce student learning.
- Attend meetings with lead teacher interventionist to discuss student progress, participate in training, and to adjust groups.
- Completes and maintains annual certification for Ukeru prior to hiring or within 4 months from hire date.
- Completes Catalyst Supporting Small Group Classroom Leadership or Support Success of Individual Students within one (1) year from hire date.
- Completes Introduction to Restorative Practices within one (1) year form hire date.
- Performs routine clerical duties and maintains records, copies and files paperwork.
- General student supervision as needed. This includes locations indoors and outdoors, such as lunchroom, bus stops, playground, classroom, field trips, public transportation, assemblies, and kitchen.
- Attends conferences and workshops toward present and future career development. Participates in general staff meetings.
- Physical Support for Students: to provide physical care for students to resolve immediate safety concerns and/or direct appropriate personnel for resolution, including self-care to students who are medically fragile.
- Responds to emergency situations including student injuries, fights, or school drills.
- Assists students with hygiene tasks (feeding, toileting, dressing, etc.) as necessary; provides multiple and diverse special health care needs for assigned students.
- Loads/unloads wheelchair bound students on bus, and/or waits with students for transportation.
- Have completed at least 48 semester hours of study at an institute of higher education, obtained an associate degree, or met a standard through an approved assessment. The approved assessment is coordinated by the building level principal, if needed.

Salary Range
Group 3 from $18.43 to $22.85 per hour
This position is contingent on the availability of specific Title I funding and may be subject to non-renewal following the 2024-2025 school year based on the unavailability or uncertainty of Title I funding.
Position Purpose: A MTSS Tutor provides academic or behavioral interventions to support and deliver direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. This classification is generally assigned to work with small groups of students needing tier II or III interventions.

Some buildings are supported by Title I funds and require additional levels of education or certification. If hired for at a Title I building, Paraprofessional Certification will be required prior to hire or work with students.
