Fargo Trailer Center is currently hiring for the Parts Sales role! The Parts Sales position is responsible for assisting customers by selecting required parts and suggesting companion requirements to ensure the customer's needs are met. This position is also responsible for assessing the present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities. M-F, 8am-5pm, $48,000/yr DOE. Fargo Trailer Center is a subsidiary of Wallwork Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum one year experience in heavy truck parts industry and/or sales.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to work independently as well as be a team player in the department.
- Must have basic math skills.
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):
- No supervisory responsibilities required with this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with customers by providing prompt and courteous service; assist customers with loading merchandise and other needs.
- Responsible for conducting counter sales transactions, credit and cash transactions, obtain relevant signatures for billing purposes.
- Maintain inventory control; follow-up on shortages and expedite through reporting to parts manager.
- Consistent and timely follow-up with customers with accurate quotes and product information.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of parts by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work flow in the department.
- Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
- Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
- Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
