The Cloud Infrastructure Architect at Farm Credit Financial Partners, Inc. (FPI) plays a strategic leadership role in advancing the organization’s Microsoft Cloud-First strategy. This position is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure-based cloud solutions that support enterprise-wide infrastructure and service delivery. This individual will drive the development of a modern Azure ecosystem, influence cloud governance models, and partner across teams to ensure alignment with business and technical objectives. This role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, security, and automation to solve complex challenges and enable the digital transformation of agricultural lending at FPI.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement end-to-end Azure solutions including networking, compute, storage, identity, and security components.
- Guide and implement governance models using Azure Policy, Blueprints, and RBAC.
- Design and lead implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using ARM/Bicep, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to drive Zero Trust initiatives using tools like Entra ID, Defender, and Conditional Access.
- Advise on cost optimization strategies using Azure Cost Management, Reserved Instances, and serverless architectures.
- Champion the use of Azure Managed Services, including App Services, SQL DB, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
- Support enterprise-wide disaster recovery and BCP efforts leveraging Azure Site Recovery and Backup solutions.
- Partner with network and security teams to optimize a Cloud First Network Infrastructure (Virtual WAN, SD-WAN, Azure Firewall).
- Support headless solutions, serverless compute (Azure Functions, Logic Apps), and managed database services (SQL, Cosmos DB).
- Serve as technical liaison with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise goals.
- Other tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
- Hybrid or remote work arrangements:
- This role may be filled as either remote or hybrid depending on candidate's location. For those local to Springfield, MA the hybrid option allows employees the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and with in the office collaboration on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
