The
role of the Business Systems Analyst is to analyze and document business processes and end user needs, contributing to the development or revision of applications, processes, documentation, and training. This is a team based/project role in the organization that can work independently,
possesses
solid business analysis skills, knows the
business,
and can work well with internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable in the Lending/Credit business practices .
- Ability to facilitate meetings and working sessions to capture and document business problems, needs, and requirements.
- Facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders.
- Identifying the current- and future-state business processes.
- Develop artifacts to drive discussion to ensure that all business needs are captured in requirements.
- Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications.
- Self-starter with their team/project to identify business problems and opportunities and work with the business and technology teams to define options and develop solutions.
- Understands business functions needed, the ability of current systems to meet those needs, and determine ways to close the gaps . This role may participate in the selection of new software or solutions.
- Assist Project Manager to manage the backlog during the implementation phase and guiding clients on scope-creep and change management.
- Contribute during all phases of the development cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment).
- Working knowledge of key FPI (Financial Partners Inc) technology to Work with Technical and Architectural Leads to document, define and share detailed business requirements for strategic projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, advanced degree is preferred. 3-5 years of work experience as a Business Analyst with experience successfully leading a project across business and technical resources
- BA (Business Analyst) Certification from IIBA is highly desired. You will need to acquire IIBA certification after being hired
- Strong business skills in banking or financial processes with demonstrated ability to identify and capture business problems/needs and translate into requirements
- Able to use pre-defined SQL queries and document the value data being use
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written communication
- Work independently and collaboratively to organize and manage multiple projects from inception to completion and manage multiple value streams and milestones between cross functional teams
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring peers and other business analyst staff
- Microsoft Suite, Visio, and Project proficiency
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
