SCHEDULE: Full Time, Hybrid
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50% - 75%
COMPENSATION: $78,522.00 to $150,980.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
The Growing Forward Manager builds and maintains relationships with retail stakeholders and customers in the young, beginning, and emerging market segment. Using knowledge of the Growing Forward program, agriculture and finance, this position fully understands the young, beginning, and emerging marketplaces and positions Farm Credit Mid-America products to best meet the needs of this market.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Manages the Growing Forward Portfolio across the association's five state territory and works with credit and risk partners to maintain portfolio health.
- In conjunction with the Head of Customer Engagement, sets strategy for the Growing Forward program; manages special projects for YBS initiatives; provides operational support and facilitation on educational programming and outreach, and collaborates with retail teams to provide pertinent feedback for the program.
- Interprets market data to proactively identify opportunities and issues, then implements solutions and best practices within the assigned territory.
- Works with retail staff to maintain consistency and integrity of the Growing Forward portfolio, including proactively managing risk by monitoring credit quality, database and reporting, delinquencies, and probability of default (PD) migration.
- Champions and accountable for program buy-in by establishing and maintaining solid relationships with sales team members, leaders and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the Customer Engagement team to ensure all YBS education and community investment initiatives align with the overall strategy.
- Works to identify local community investment opportunities that support both brands and YBS producers.
- Advises the board and leadership on YBS farmer related issues.
- Provides reports on program metrics to FCMA leadership; addresses and resolves all FCA regulatory issues rleated to the Growing Forward program.
- Manages the Forward Thinker award, including setting the event strategy, overseeing communications and event execution.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, agriculture or related field. 4 years related experience in a corporate environment.
