Power Equipment - Department Head
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on Duty

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Help customers with special order requests and locating merchandise.
- Educate customers with product knowledge and greet each customer within 10 ft.
- Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise for multiple departments.
- Have basic knowledge of Farm & Home Supply web-based Intranet and the Outfitter.
- Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
- Review and correct outages and overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads and sale signage.
- Identify and display new items at their designated location with Management approval.
- Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps, and displays.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment, while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
- Perform regular area safety checks throughout the store or as needed or requested by management.
- Attend store and job-related meetings as well as review the F&H Weekly Update distributed to each store every Monday.
- Communicate in a professional manner with customers, management, and all store employees.
- Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Assist with price changes, markdowns & labeling of merchandise.
- Operate cash registers and assists with customer carry outs.
- Flexible schedule with capability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Capable of lifting up to and including 80 lbs.
- Maintain and control organized stock room area.
- Complete required online Job Training available on our Outfitters website.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete special projects directed by management with additional responsibilities that may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Minimum Age requirement is 18 years old.
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
- Six months of previous retail experience is preferred.
- Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
