Family owned and operated, fast paced, growing agriculture business seeking a self-motivated, organized, reliable, and professional office administrator.
This is a very diverse position - farming experience and interest a plus! Candidates must be comfortable in sales and be able to strengthen our sales/marketing strategies and carry out our vision plan.
They will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. The tasks of the office administrator will include, but not limited to, greeting visitors, answering incoming phone calls, purchasing supplies for office and farm, preparing budgets and records, ensuring maximum profit along with creating presentations and producing management level reports. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced administrative and technical support work for staff, including monitoring & upkeep of calendars, determining relative priorities, and maintaining organized and precise records
- Manage and maintain calendar of events for meetings, special events, deliveries, and travel plans for owner and staff
- AR/AP Management (QuickBooks experience a must)
- Analyzing existing operations, staff, financial documents, and recommending improvements
- Handling the marketing and sale of products produced by the farm
- Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety regulations
- Be able to organize, prioritize, and multitask while having the ability to learn and grow in a fast growing agriculture business and adapt to change
- Need to have excellent communication kills in building relationships with new clients, vendors and employees.
- Assist in recruitment and orientation of new staff members
- Respond to incoming telephone & written inquiries via emails, social media platforms and other sites
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- Maintain feed safety procedures and records
- Be open to new opportunities for training in various agritourism venues
- Build professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science
- Market, expand, and improve agritourism plans
- Assist in budget preparation, monitor monthly expenditures, complete weekly payroll for salary and contract employees
- Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, website management, etc)
- Strong computer skills using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks
- Participate in public relations for events (some weekends required)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
