Agronomy Sales Associate and Farmhand
Location: Rural Eastern South Dakota
Schedule/Hours: 32-40 hours/week with some nights and weekends during busy seasons (such as planting, harvesting, haying)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Farm-related tasks to include: assisting with planting, harvesting, fertilizing, haying, feeding and daily livestock care, fence repairs, machinery upkeep, and general day-to-day farm tasks
- Agronomy sales tasks to include: customer service, product prep and delivery, inventory tracking, and test plot management
Required Qualifications:
- Interest in agronomy and regenerative agriculture
- Knowledge of farm equipment and mechanics
- Experience with customer service working with new and existing clients
- Ability to work independently and take direction with strong time management skills
- Common sense, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Livestock experience
- Mechanical Experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Nights as needed
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Farming: 3 years (Preferred)
- livestock: 3 years (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- De Smet, SD 57231: Relocate before starting work (Required)
