What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Operator position at Farm?
Large progressive farm seeking farm operator/laborer/delivery driver.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who desires to grow and develop with a progressive, fast-paced, agricultural company.
Applicant should have general agriculture knowledge and equipment and/or truck driving experience.
- Experience pulling gooseneck trailers a plus!
-Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment
-Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
-Direct and monitor the activities of work crews engaged in planting, weeding, or harvesting activities.
-Candidate needs to be self-motivated, energetic, have positive attitude and able to work with diverse people.
-Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools.
-Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers.
-Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers.
-Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
-Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
