Description
Capital Equipment is looking to fill a equipment mechanic position at our Columbia location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
- Perform safety checks on equipment/ heavy equipment.
- Assist senior mechanics
- Change brakes and tires
- Trouble shoot and repair engine and transmission issues
- Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have your own tools
- Field tech experience
- Welding experience is a plus
- Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus (Davie, TEXA)
- Must be able to work flexible hours/some weekends
- Obtain a valid driver’s license
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
