Job Title: Receiving Clerk Role: The Receiving Clerk ensures accuracy and quality control of all incoming shipments and oversees outgoing product shipments of products received in error. This role involves meticulous inspection and comparison of purchasing or shipping information and received or to be shipped merchandise types and quantities to verify accuracy. The Receiving Clerk coordinates with various departments to ensure smooth operations of inventory management processes. This role reports to the Yard Lead. Responsibilities:
Team Support: Consistently support the company, customers, and fellow employees by fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Inspect Deliveries: Thoroughly inspect and receive all incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition, ensuring they match the purchase orders.
Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all shipments, including discrepancies, damages, and returns.
Notify Buyers: Communicate any order variances or discrepancies to Buyers promptly to resolve issues.
Update Product Inventory: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring all received items are logged correctly.
Stage Incoming Items: Properly stage and organize incoming items in designated areas for efficient processing and storage.
Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and outside loaders, to inform them of products ready for stocking, delivery or customer pickup and address any issues.
Claims and Returns: Coordinate the return of damaged goods or shipment errors to suppliers.
Product Shipping: Packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipments as needed.
Warehouse & Yard Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in yards and warehouses, ensuring stock is safely stored, stocked and easily accessible. Other Duties: Respond positively to requests from Yard Lead and perform other duties well as needed.
