About the Role
As the Yard Lead, you'll oversee all yard activities, including receiving, shipping, inventory storage and staging, deliveries, equipment maintenance, facilities management, and more. You'll inspire your team to deliver excellent customer experiences while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.

Location: Farmers Building Supply – Grants Pass, Oregon
Reports to: Store Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and inspire yard staff to prioritize tasks, maintain productivity, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Safety Champion: Enforce safety protocols rigorously, ensuring a secure environment for staff and customers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and stage inventory to protect quality and meet customer needs.
- Customer Experience: Address customer concerns and ensure smooth operations for loading and deliveries.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee equipment maintenance, facilities management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with store leaders and team members to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:
- 3 years of experience working in a building supply leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills and exceptional business acumen.
· Good driving and safety record.
· Physically able to perform the duties consistently including lifting, bending, loading, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
Job Type – FT Exempt
Compensation: $50,000 - 60,000/yr. DOE
