Summary
The role of the QA Analyst is to test business applications, including associated business processes, to ensure they are working properly and efficiently. The QA Analyst is responsible for authoring and executing test cases and maintaining production documentation. The QA Analyst will apply analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in troubleshooting system issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties.
- Create, execute, and analyze test cases to verify systems and processes are efficient and working properly.
- Ensure that test cases meet requirement specifications.
- Identify problems or issues within systems and processes. Verify problem resolution is accurate.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
- Assume responsibility of testing results and efficient operation of the testing function.
- Assist in the requirements process as well as develop requirements when necessary.
- Assist in the development of training and educational materials to use in training end-users.
- Assist in maintaining production documentation for all business applications developed in-house, including interfaces with third party products.
- Maintain QA Rating Worksheets and QA Manuals to assure they are up to date and accurate.
- Serve as contact person for user problems. Analyze problems and resolve or recommend action for resolution.
- Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Requires a working knowledge of, or an ability to learn SQL, MS Office, Lotus notes, and other tools necessary to analyze system problems.
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in technology or business-related field is preferred. Work experience and performance will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of company products and rate manuals is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in working with test management or test automation tools is desired but not required.
