Job Summary
The Learning and Development (L&D) Assistant maintains a professional and positive relationship with L&D’s customers through both verbal and written communication. Other responsibilities include scheduling in-branch training, maintaining the L&D calendar and email, training coordination and room setup, producing virtual training, handling projects and confidential materials, administrative and clerical duties, and answering telephones.
Essential Duties
- Answer L&D’s office telephone and assist internal clients in a professional and positive manner.
- Coordinate and schedule in-branch training.
- Create and send training event invitations, reminders, pre-work, and other training materials.
- Manages the L&D mailbox.
- Maintains the L&D Calendar and schedule training room use for L&D classes and outside meetings.
- Produce virtual training sessions and webinars.
- General reporting functions/maintenance of e-learning.
- Training material assembly (workbooks, workshop materials, etc.).
- Training room set-up (projector, computer(s), refreshments, general room maintenance).
- Mystery shop documentation and distribution.
- Develop training calendar for approval.
- Enter/update classes in Learning Management System.
- Distribution of employee rewards and certificates.
- Documentation creation and update (spreadsheets, training worksheets, process documents).
- Conduct project research.
- Mail distribution & response as appropriate.
- Inter-branch pick up/drop off.
- Create office supply orders for approval, place and receive orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

Required Knowledge
- Understanding of F&M policies, practices, and activities
- Expertise with online training programs and Learning Management System functionalities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- MS Office: Outlook, Word and Excel
- Virtual training platforms

- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner
- Self-starter and proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
- Computer and internet skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and walk clients through appropriate steps.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner, demonstrate procedures and respond to questions
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in handling employee information
- Ability and desire to foster and interact in a team environment, and willingness to contribute to team efforts.
- Proactive in addressing internal client needs.
Officer Title Eligibility
For qualified positions, the Bank may designate Officer Titles to employees who meet defined competencies for an eligible position. This position is not eligible for an Officer Title.

Education and Experience
- High School equivalent preferred
- Experience working as an administrative assistant a plus
