Job Summary
The Professional Practice Senior Auditor supports the Professional Practice Audit Manager to develop, improve, and maintain professional practice and standards for the internal audit department, by providing support on activities including Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP), policies and procedures, AuditBoard system maintenance, risk assessment, issue management, data analytics, reporting, and continuous monitoring to ensure the internal audit practice conforms to the Internal Audit Charter, Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards, and regulatory guidance.
Essential Duties
• Responsible for performing QAIP reviews and reporting results, in accordance with the Internal Audit’s QAIP methodology.
• Support AuditBoard system inquiries and liaise with team to make continuous improvements.
• Assist the Professional Practice Audit Manager in providing key data used for audit committee, board, or executive management presentation materials.
• Enhance reporting materials and dashboards to provide meaningful and accurate audit information.
• Support enhancements to the issues management process, including tracking, reporting and enhanced issue management methodology.
• Assist with improving audit standards and methodology to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of audit work and documentation, and ensure adherence to the Internal Audit Charter and IIA Standards.
• Assist with continuous process improvements for audit documentation, templates and instructions.
• Enhance and maintain audit universe and risk assessment methodology and periodic updates.
• Improve, and update the IA policy, procedures, and/or methodology manuals.
• Liaise with team to provide education and communication of audit methodology enhancements and best practices.
• As directed by the Professional Practice Audit Manager, assist external auditors and regulators in the execution of their reviews/ examinations as well as special projects.
• Be knowledgeable with current and pending banking laws and regulations and global internal audit standards and proactively monitor changes to industry.
• Maintain a professional development plan to continually develop technical and interpersonal skills.
• Effectively utilize down time, identify issues requiring research, and effectively research using appropriate resources.
• Complete all assignments within established timetables.
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

Officer Title Eligibility
For qualified positions, the Bank may designate an Officer Title to an employee who seeks and/or meets defined competencies for an eligible position. This position qualifies for the officer title(s) Assistant Vice President, Vice President.

Education and Experience
• BS or BA Degree required, preferred majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics or equivalent work experience required
• Five or more years of internal audit, risk management, regulatory agency or related experience required
• Relevant certification or industry accreditation such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) required
• Strong background in audit policy, methodology, and best practice
• Thorough knowledge of internal audit standards required
• Previous “large firm” public accounting experience a plus
• Banking/ financial services experience strongly preferred
