Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is crucial in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in financial software. Temp to hire, Located in Fountain Valley, Offering $34.00-40.00 / hr.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and reports.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to guide organizational strategy.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business objectives.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Prepare and post journal entries for the monthly accounting close
- Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated Depreciation schedules ensuring they reconcile to the General Ledger. Enter and post new assets to Fixed Asset accounting program
- Prepare annual business property tax returns, business license, and other government documents
