Job Description
The Personal Lines Underwriter will be assigned as the primary personal lines underwriter for a group of independent agencies and will be tasked with handling all personal lines underwriting and processing for their assigned agents. This individual will become very knowledgeable with our available personal lines products as well as our online systems and underwriting requirements, so that they can assist our agents in placing business with Farmers Fire.
The Personal Lines Underwriter is charged with maintaining and developing good working relationships with agents in order to help them partner effectively with Farmers Fire. As an underwriter some minor travel (within Pennsylvania) will be involved associated with visiting independent agents at their office to meet with and train agents.
Qualifications
- 1-5 Years Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. Experience can be as an underwriter, insurance agent, or other relevant position.
- Academics: while a 4 year college degree is not required, it is preferred.
- Valid Property and Casualty Producers License
