What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Farmers Insurance Group?
As a Customer Service Representative / Office Manager, use your organizational, customer service and technical skills to assist customers, prepare quotes, schedule and more.
This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday, first shift. 30-40 hours per week is available, hourly plus bonus available.
Must be willing to obtain the Minnesota Property, Casualty and Life license (course provided).
Responsibilities Include:
- Answer and direct incoming calls with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Maintain and update client files, ensuring we have everything in order.
- Assist in managing personal, commercial and life insurance business all with offering top-notch service.
- Enter client data into our systems, helping us prepare proposals for our clients, help with document collection and retention.
- Recognize opportunities to set appointments with customers and prospects, establishing lasting connections.
- Identify chances to recommend additional coverage or services to our clients.
- Handle daily internal policy communications and customer account reviews.
- Assist in agency marketing and help run our social media pages when needed.
- Recognize and advise on market opportunities which contribute to the growth of our agency.

Qualifications:
- 1 years experience in an administrative or clerical role providing customer service.
- A willingness to obtain insurance licenses if not licensed already, paid for by Farmers Insurance Group
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Being comfortable with computer software and navigation.
- Friendly, eager to learn, comfortable on the phone.
- Four-year college degree highly preferred but not required.
- Previous customer service experience highly preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have basic PC skills, basic math skills, strong analytical capability, conflict resolution skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
