We are looking for a client-oriented loan officer to join our banking team.
Job Summary:Responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting and coordinating the closing of consumer, residential, equipment, SBA and business loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. Assists in attaining established Bank goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs.
Essential Duties:
- Meet with potential borrowers to gather and analyze financial information and determine their eligibility for loans.
- Assist borrowers in completing loan applications and provide guidance throughout the loan process.
- Evaluate loan applications, including credit history, income verification, and collateral assessment.
- Maintain knowledge of current lending guidelines, regulations, and industry trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources such as real estate agents, builders, and financial planners.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of loan origination processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze financial information and make informed lending decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Registered MLO through NMLS.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
