What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Farmers National Bank?
POSITION SUMMARY: The credit analyst has the primary responsibility of performing credit analysis for new requests, renewal of existing credits, and internal loan review.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs all duties of the credit analyst as needed to facilitate timely delivery of services.
2. Analyzes loan data on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions and financial institution files.
3. Provides technical advice and assistance to loan officers as needed.
4. Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial institution officers on new, renewal and existing loans.
5. Reviews financial information files, including the tickler system, to assure current reports, statements, accounts receivable and other information on customer accounts.
6. Recommends an appropriate risk grade rating to the SCC.
7. Performs credit inquiries for the financial institution as requested.
8. Makes recommendations concerning changes related to forms, policies and procedures, employee practices or error corrections.
9. Assists management in performing due diligence on third parties and other credit analysis as requested on other assets.
10. Participates as a non-voting member of the Senior Credit Committee.
Other:
1. Assist in maintenance of the credit analysis spreadsheet and credit database.
2. Perform data analysis of the loan portfolio
3. Create various reports as directed by the Chief Credit Officer
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
2. Performs job duties in compliance with all laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act.
3. Recognizes opportunities for other bank products and services as applicable and makes referrals as appropriate
Physical Demands:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to speak English and hear. The employee spends 90% of the day sitting at a desk. Occasionally, the employee will stand, walk, bend or crouch (10% of the day). The employee may be required to lift 10 pounds to perform their job.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
2. College degree in accounting or a related business field.
3. Experience as a Credit Analyst in a Financial Institution preferred.
4. Proficient in use of Excel and Office 365.
5. Extensive knowledge of bank services, products, policies and procedures.
6. Continuing related education.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, additional hours as needed.
