Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced and vibrant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service while crafting delicious beverages and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall dining experience by delivering high-quality drinks and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking drink orders, and offering recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and mixers; assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently; process payments for drinks served.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate drink orders during busy service periods, especially during banquets or special events.
- Stay informed about new drink recipes, trends in the food industry, and customer preferences to enhance sales opportunities.
Skills
- Strong background in food service and hospitality with experience in a restaurant or bar setting.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Proficient math skills for handling cash register transactions and calculating drink prices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with sales techniques to promote beverage specials or upsell products when appropriate.
- Familiarity with banquet service is a plus but not required.
