This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join the Housekeeping team as our morning Public Space Houseman. The Public Space Houseman will ensure a quality experience for both members and staff by maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of interior and exterior areas of Farmington Country Club, as well as responding to member and guest needs in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. The hours for this full-time position are from 6:30a to 3:00p OR from 8:00a to 4:30p.
Position Responsibilities:
- Sweep, dust mop, and vacuum floors throughout the Club, including the exterior wooden and brick galleries surrounding the buildings;
- Remove trash, as well as maintain and replace lining in trash receptacles;
- Clean and sanitize Clubhouse bathrooms;
- Dust baseboards, windowsills, pictures, vents, furniture, and fixtures;
- Wash mirrors and windows on doors;
- Clean inside and outside panes of windows;
- Wash floor mats and rugs;
- Replenish bathroom amenities (e.g., soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.);
- Polish chrome and brass fixtures;
- Clean ceiling fans, light fixtures, and chandeliers;
- Restock amenities in Housekeeping workstations and closets;
- Reset furniture into designated positions when out-of-place;
- Shampoo carpets throughout the Club, including guestroom carpets;
- Clean and refinish floors;
- Assist in the collection and distribution of linens to and from outlets;
- Adherence to and completion of check lists, which are submitted to Housekeeping Supervisor twice per week;
- Prompt identification and reporting of maintenance issues to Housekeeping Manager or maintenance department
Qualifications
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping or public space cleaning a plus.
- Possession of current and valid Drivers License
- Ability to lift and carry up to sixty (60) pounds
- Ability to climb a ladder at least four (4) feet in height
- Ability to mobilize up and down stairs while carrying cleaning equipment
- Ability to bend in order to clean underneath furniture
- Ability to stand for periods of up to four (4) hours
