Nurse Educator - Minnesota RN License Required
Farmstead Living is hiring an RN who will educate, train, evaluate, and coach new and existing CNAs & Caregivers in the matter of resident care, policies, and procedures. The Nurse Educator is vital in starting each Caregiver off on the right foot.
This position could be Full-Time or Part-Time. Applicant must be willing and able to work occasional evening and weekend hours, depending on the trainee and his/her schedule. Pay Range = $32-$42/hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications:
- Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as an RN
- Experience in an Assisted Living community is preferred, but not required
- Experience as a trainer or clinical educator is preferred, but not required
- Able to work well with care staff, other nurses, residents, and families
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient, positive and supportive leader
Responsibilities:
- Be a part of the onboarding team at Farmstead Living, including new hire orientation, educate, supervise, and evaluate.
- Provide classroom and hands-on training to CNAs and Caregivers. Sign off on adequately performed cares, tasks, and competencies.
- Educate staff on Assisted Living procedures and policies.
- Assure that medication administration procedures are followed properly and discuss any needed corrections, errors, or training opportunities with staff.
- Provides input and/or performs annual evaluations for caregiver staff.
