DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Qualifications

Prefer Master’s Degree with experience or Bachelors with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field (e.g. social work, special education, human services, nonprofit management), including at least three years in a senior management role; an understanding of and experience with people who have autism and other developmental disabilities.

Job Goal

To direct, coordinate, and supervise all day-to-day operations of the corporation; to prioritize, plan for, and achieve long and short-term organizational goals and to ultimately ensure that the individuals for whom Farmsteads provides services enjoy a meaningful and satisfying life.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the Executive Director to ensure the success of

Farmsteads.

• Meet with various committees of the Board of Directors, and with the full Board when requested, providing them with needed information.
• Work to fulfill the goals of the strategic plan
• Meet regularly (weekly or bi-weekly) with staff who report directly to the Director of Operations (Program Directors/Coordinators, Certification Manager, Nurse Trainer, Facility Managers, Farm Manager) to provide information, answer questions, discuss current or upcoming needs and concerns. Supervise and evaluate said staff members.

• Ensure that RFP’s are responded to in a timely manner.
• Work with Finance Director to monitor expenses to ensure adherence to budget.
• Work with Bureau of Developmental Services and area agencies to maintain Farmsteads’ status as an approved vendor of services in NH.

• Work with Human Resources Manager when necessary to address staff situations that may arise.
• Be available to families, other stakeholders, and the public to provide information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
