Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of all technology systems, and providing technical support to staff across multiple locations. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The IT Specialist will work closely with the IT team and other departments to collaboratively address technical challenges and improve system efficiency.
 

Key Responsibilities

• System Management – Assists in the planning, organization, and management of Health Information Technology (HIT) systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Technical Support – Respond promptly to IT Help Desk tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide training to staff on new technologies and systems.
• Asset Management – Maintain and audit the organization's IT assets using the WASP asset management system, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
• Vendor Coordination – Collaborate with external vendors to facilitate IT tasks.
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support – Assist in managing the Netsmart/myEvolv EHR system by updating billing information, testing software upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and creating necessary forms and reports.
• Helpdesk Management – Provide first-line IT support for troubleshooting user issues across hardware, software, and networking systems, ensuring minimal downtime and effective problem resolution.
• Office 365 & Business Applications Support – Administer and provide technical support for Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, ensuring smooth workflow integration.
• IP Phone & Security Systems Maintenance – Oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of IP phone systems and security infrastructure, including access control and surveillance systems.
• Process Improvement – Evaluate current IT processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend enhancements to improve overall system performance and user experience.
• Compliance and Security – Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Educational Background – Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required; relevant certifications in IT hardware/software support are preferred.
• Experience – Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Experience in a complex organizational setting, maintaining confidentiality, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Technical Proficiency – Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with IT Helpdesk support, IP phone systems, and security system maintenance.
• Analytical Skills – Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proven track record of problem-solving and decision-making.
• Communication Skills – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills – Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and details concurrently.
• Licensure – Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between office locations as required.
