ABOUT THE POSITION
The Project Administrator will review design and bidding documents, evaluate contractor bids, and oversee construction progress and scheduling. Additionally, the Construction Project Administrator provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Director of Construction
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- In coordination with Project Managers and Director of Construction manage the project controls process and documentation, including but not limited to contracts, insurance, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, meeting minutes, job cost, and project reporting
- Study and understand project plans and specifications and keep them current based on RFI responses and addendums
- Assist with forecasting schedule and cost requirements.
- Assist with writing scopes of work, preparing requests for proposals, and reviewing bids.
- Assist with managing project cost, change management, and forecasting
- Prepare material tracking reports including lead times, submittal status, and delivery
- Project close out including final lien waivers, final contractor payments, and final project close out report.
- Maintain files on all purchases, orders, vendors, contractors, and classifications of purchases
- Maintain punch-list logs and assign responsibility
- Assist in establishing and maintaining standard contracts, purchase orders, and procedure for procurement
- Assist Faros Properties Management staff in evaluating issues and determining potential solutions.
- Coordinate work with contractors, property managers, etc. as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
GENERAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday), located at Nova Place on the Northside of Pittsburgh. It is an in-office position.
