What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Supervisor position at Farouk Systems Inc?
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for directing and overseeing the daily work activities for the Security department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the daily work activities of the department and Loss Prevention Officers to meet Company goals and objectives
- Observe and monitor work processes to ensure compliance with security, safety and Company standards
- Promote teamwork to achieve Company and departmental goals and objectives
- Operate security cameras and other monitoring equipment
- Ensure optimal utilization of all departmental resources, including but not limited to, space, equipment, personnel, etc.
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotions or transfers
- Train new hires and current employees as needed
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, recognizing good performance and taking disciplinary action as necessary
- Monitor Loss Prevention Officer’s attendance
- Generate and maintain necessary paperwork and reports
- Fill in and perform necessary tasks when employees are out or as needed
- Work closely with other managers and supervisors as necessary
- Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all security, safety rules and requirements
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
- Must be able to work with a flexible schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- High school graduate with four years of college education or five years’ experience in security management or law enforcement. Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Familiar with methods and techniques of maintaining security and security management
- 3 years of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- 3 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work efficiently both individually and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per da
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, grasp, bend, kneel, and squat repeatedly throughout the day
- Must work amicably with co-workers but maintain a firm enforcement of all policies and procedures
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Possess a valid Texas driver’s license
- No prior criminal history
- Criminal background check required
Preferred Qualifications:
- The First Responder course.
- CPR Training
- AED Defibrillator device Training
Salary:
