We are looking for a motivated and thorough Home Assessor to perform comprehensive home evaluations and document findings accurately. This role is critical in assessing energy efficiency opportunities, educating homeowners, and ensuring successful program enrollment.
As a Home Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting full home assessments, gathering detailed data, and providing homeowners with insights into potential energy efficiency improvements. Your expertise and ability to engage with customers, address their concerns, and document findings properly will directly impact program success.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Actively engage with homeowners, effectively explaining the benefits of the Weatherization Assistance Program and assessing their level of interest.
- Home Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of residential properties, identifying energy efficiency improvements and weatherization opportunities.
- Data Collection: Accurately gather and document home conditions, insulation levels, HVAC systems, and energy efficiency concerns for proper recommendations.
- Addressing Questions and Objections: Respond to customer inquiries and concerns, providing clear, concise, and well-informed explanations.
- Collaboration with Team: Work closely with sales, administrative, and field teams to ensure a smooth process from assessment to program enrollment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Background in home assessments, construction, energy efficiency, or home improvement is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Attention to detail in gathering and documenting home assessment data.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use CRM software or learn quickly.
- Mindset & Work Ethic:
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Preferred (Not Required):
- Prior experience in energy efficiency assessments, weatherization programs, or residential energy audits(training provided).
- Must be able to travel and stay overnight while on shift
Work Environment
- Field-based role, requiring travel to various residential locations.
- Requires working both indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Customer-facing position with a strong focus on education and engagement.
