Job Title: Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler - East
Reports To: Plant Manager / Director of Operations
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure the efficient and timely production of goods. This role is also responsible for the weekly cycle counts, supporting the quarterly physical inventories, scheduling outbound trucks completing GRN for inbound product
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling:
- Create and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure product availability.
- Align with customer service for shipment dates.
- Schedule outbound trucks for pickup
- Ensure alignment with supply chain and logistics for inbound deliveries and resource requirements to support.
- Align with production supervisor on scheduling.
- Support supply chain analyst with daily GRN activities
- Inventory Management:
- Provide weekly update on finished goods inventory to customer service.
- Conduct weekly cycle count activity.
- Support quarterly physical inventory requirements
- Review the demand forecast and align with the plant manager on stock levels to maintain.
- Monitor label inventory to notify need to replenish
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in production planning and scheduling.
- Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
- Communication:
- Lead daily production schedule meeting with production, logistics, supply chain and maintenance for alignment on equipment and resource availability.
- Provide input to customer service on truckload layouts and pickup windows.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with cycle count and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, which may include standing and walking for periods of time.
- Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to twenty-five pounds.
- Ability to work in outdoor environment as needed to support inventory counts.
- Adhering to all company PPE requirements included but not limited to safety vests, safety glasses, steel-toed safety shoes.
Facility Location:
- ZNDUS East, Inc., 214 James Farm Road, Statesville, NC 28625
Salary and Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with possible overtime as projects or needs necessitate.
- Overtime or late hours will be required on Thursdays to support cycle count activities
- Saturday work will be required for quarterly inventory counts
- The starting rate will be $ 25 to $27 dollars per hour according to the level of experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
