About the Job:
As an Automation Technician at Insight Global, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of automated systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Tasks:
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with automated equipment, including PLCs, robotic systems, and related sensors and actuators.
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime of automated systems.
- Equipment Installation and Upgrade: Assist in the installation and upgrade of automated equipment, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
- PLC Programming and Troubleshooting: Conduct basic PLC programming and troubleshooting to maintain and improve system functionality.
- Robotic System Support: Provide support for robotic systems, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote strict safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of automated processes.
- Shift Work: Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of automation concepts, PLC fundamentals, and robotic systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
