The Construction Crew Members position plays an important role in ensuring the success and quality of our design build landscape projects. In this role you will understand the importance of safety, attention to detail, strong work ethic, a good sense of landscape construction order of operations and a good understanding of landscape construction operations such as softscapes, hardscapes, irrigation and much more. This position also comes with the emphasis of creating a career here at FarWest. We are looking for people who enjoy working in the green industry and want to turn it into a career. Construction Crew Member Responsibilities
· Will report to the Landscape Construction Supervisor and work with a team of 2-4
· Maintain safety as a number one priority while on all jobs
· Assist the supervisor in maintaining an outwardly professional appearance of crews and projects
· Assist the Supervisor in the efficient and effective use of time for the completion of landscape projects
· Assist the Supervisor in the upkeep of tools, trailers, trucks and equipment
· Willingness and outwardly enthusiastic desire to work
· Have the desire and ability to learn new skills and techniques in the landscape construction industry
Construction Crew Member Skills
· 2 years of landscape construction experience
· 2 years of irrigation installation experience
· Good understanding of sod, grading, drainage, softscape, hardscape and water feature installation processes
· Have a good understanding of landscape construction order of operations
· Able to work 50 hours a week as the season requires
· Proficiency in operating all forms of landscape equipment i.e., skid steers, dingos, trucks, trailers, trenchers, excavators and much more
· Ability to interact positively with customers
· Will be able arrive on time and ready to work
· Will have a valid drivers license
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Boise, ID: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Landscape Construction: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
Work Location: One location
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
