Job Description - Mechanical Coordinator / EIT (180766)

In the role of Mechanical Coordinator / EIT, we'll count on you to :
- Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications
- Develop mechanical design calculations that follow industry standards
- Develop and backcheck plan sheets and detail drawings
- Assist in the development of technical specifications
- Assist in the development of construction cost estimates
- Technical writing for reports / technical memorandums
- Prepare presentations (design, alternatives analysis, etc.)
- Coordinate with cross-discipline teams (e.g., electrical, structural, civil) on a multidisciplinary project team
- Perform mechanical / general field inspections / site visits
- Conduct construction submittal reviews (e.g., shop drawings, O&M manuals)
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring the application of standard techniques and procedures
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
- Work independently on small to mid-sized projects as supporting staff, with senior direction and check-ins
- Commit to HDR’s quality culture and follow Quality Management Systems in place
- Commit to HDR’s safety culture (Drive To Zero) and follow safety protocols
- Learn from and assist senior engineers on projects
- Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
- Be respectful of others
- Perform other duties as needed
