What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Provider, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position at Fast Aid Urgent Care?
Fast Aid Urgent Care is a leading, locally veteran-owned and operated, walk-in urgent care company with clinics in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Bastrop, Dripping Springs, and La Grange, TX, as well in Belle Chasse, LA just south of New Orleans. Our highly qualified, friendly, and caring medical staff are pleased to treat patients from these communities as well as their surrounding areas.
We currently have a full-time provider opening at our clinic in Alamo, San Antonio, TX, and are looking for an experienced PA or NP who is motivated, a team player, and ready and willing to be part of an amazing team and culture.

Responsibilities:
Obtain detailed patient histories, conduct physical examinations, review medical records and chart everything medically important in their records
Interpret test results, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications or therapy with a physician overseeing as needed and authorized as part of a larger health plan.
Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes
Perform minor surgical procedures like suturing wounds, administering injections, and applying dressings.
Qualifications:
Comfortable seeing ages three months and up
Must have the ability to work independently
Board certified
Ability to perform first reads on x-rays
Has a Texas state medical licensure and DEA
Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries to include: pediatric and adult care; I&Ds; suturing, etc.
