Title: Event Ops Intern
Location: San Diego (Remote/Hybrid)
Reports to: Events Director
Pay Rate: $16.30/hour (or current minimum wage)

The Event Ops Intern is a creative and innovative thinker who thrives on solving challenges and embodies our core values (https://www.fastforwardevents.com/culture/). They are an eager to learn, take-charge professional with the desire to roll up their sleeves and get involved in event logistics, operations, and project management for several large-scale events in both consumer and conference/tradeshow segments of the events industry. Must be able to work across the portfolio of events these events simultaneously throughout the term.
The Event Ops Intern must be able to use critical thinking to anticipate project needs and be able to work cross-functionally to achieve targets. The must be able to effectively manage work priorities and lean into technology/AI when appropriate to continuously improve our internal processes/procedures whenever possible. They must be able to meet deadlines with little supervision and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as the event schedule dictates. Strong communication and effective stakeholder communication is a requirement of the role.
The Event Ops Intern must demonstrate a passion for hospitality, teamwork, outstanding customer service, and be an enthusiastic and authentic professional who is able to build relationships with internal and external customers while self-managing time and priorities to keep tasks and priorities on target.

Roles and Responsibilities):
- Learn the ins and outs of event production with mentors who oversee:
- Exhibitor/Sponsor Activation Coordination
- Talent Coordination
- Conference Coordination
- Operations & Logistics
- Customer Service Support
- Perform event operation-related research and outreach such as vendors, venues, rentals, etc.
- Exhibitor support and outreach for confirmation of attendance
- Customer support inquiries
- Generate website updates for talent, events, and exhibitor/sponsors
- Assist with the creation of sponsor checklists & post event recaps
- Assist with asset tracking and collection for speakers, brands, exhibitors, sponsors, and other partners
- Assist with inventory as required
- On-site assistance at events - some weekends are required, as events require
The Fine Print:
- Up to 20 hours/week
- Full semester duration
- Remote opportunity with onsite time required for events
- Must live in San Diego County
- Some driving required onsite
- 21 preferred but not required
