Fat Daddy's Bar & Grill in Alexandria, MN is looking for dishwashers to join our 63 person strong team. We are located on 115 30th Ave E.. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.

Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities

Many restaurants and facilities have large, commercial quality washers able to wash several trays of dishes quickly. Dishwashers unload the cutlery and dishes brought to the kitchen by Bussers while loading and organizing them into trays for the washer. Commercial dishwashers are not always able to accommodate larger pans and pots so they may occasionally need to be washed by hand.

Purpose & Major Responsibility:

Make sure the dishes and pots are cleaned as quickly as possible and at the end of the night your station is clean.

Main Duties & Activities:

·       Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.

·       Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.

·       Change dishwater in dish machine when necessary.

·       Wash pots, pans, and some trays by hand (when are too big for the dishwasher)

·       Setup and breakdown dishwashing area

·       Assemble/disassemble dish machine

·       Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions

·       Ensure dishes are clean

·       Keep work area organized and surgically clean

·       Help co-workers

·       Follow grooming standards

·       Check section and environment as per standards.

·       Sweep and mop floors

·       Complete duties on weekly cleaning calendar

·       Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.

·       Taking garbage, compost, and cardboard to dumpster area

·       Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.

·       In downtime might be asked to prep work

Skills & qualifications associated with the role of a Dishwasher include:

·       Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day

·       Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves.

·       Ability to work in a hot and damp environment.

• Proven working experience as a dishwasher
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
